Albury Wodonga Mountain Bikers Club Events

Annual Nail Can Hill MTB fun ride

This year's Nail Can sees a big change to the event with the MTB ride now being held on Saturday afternoon at 2pm. This came about due to the earlier start time of the run on Sunday morning (now at 9am). The course for the MTB ride will change also, but for the better with more single track being added to the course and a new finish location. The start will be at Lavington Panthers as usual but the finish will now be at the end of Range Rd on all the new awesome single track purpose built for mountain biking. This should make the event more fun than ever before and will give people the chance to do both the ride and run with a night's rest in between. Of course the Ironman/woman challenge will still be on for people that enter both events.

Hammer Time XC Races

Hammer time races are held once a month, usually on the last (or second last) Saturday afternoon of the month. These are fast and classic cross country races on sweet flowing single track usually completing a certain number of laps around the course. Over 90% of the course is on purpose built single track and makes for some awesome riding on Nail Can Hill. The races are held at the end of Range Rd Albury. We look forward to seeing other MTB riders from other clubs and towns come along for some great racing.

Riders will be able to compete in one of the following 4 categories:

Medals will be awarded to the place getters in all of the above categories. Riders will score points for each event and points will be accumulated for the best 2 results a person has. Therefore if you miss one of the races you will still have just as much chance of getting maximum points as someone that does all 3 races. The club championship point score is only open to current members, although anyone can come along and still ride in the races.

Points will be awarded as per current MTBA events.
1st = 80, 2nd = 65, 3rd = 55, 4th = 48, 5th = 43 etc.
