AWMTB Membership

If you are a current AWCC member we will honour your membership until the end of this year when it expires.

If you joined the AWCC after july we will give you a discount of your AWCC fee on a AWMTB membership.

These people must still submit AWMTB membership forms but should make relevant notes on it.

Of course to help the new club get started you could just start over with a new membership!

AWMTB memberships are 'rolling', not calender year.

See the form on the home page for more info. or email me. Hope to see you next wednesday.

Nearly forgot to mention the Womens Short Track. Local Tory Thomas finished second to Mary McConneloug of USA. Had a huge scrap with Gracie Elvin but came strong and finished it off. Awesome effort. Tory was well entrenched in the top 10 in the XC the previous day with a big chance of a top 5. She had a huge stack a few laps in, got a puncture in the process, she ran about 1/2 a lap to the mech zone with blood and dirt all over her dial. She then battled on and finished only 16 down. Inspirational Stuff From Tory!!!![:star:] [:star:]

Hi all,
We are looking for a couple of people to help out with the club timing system at future club races.
It’s quite a good and enjoyable job to do but does require someone comfortable on computers. It can be someone that races or someone’s partner/family member that doesn’t.
Most of the work that has to be done is setting up the files before the registration begins and then compiling the results after the race is finished.
A lot of this can be done on your home PC which is handy too. Don’t think that you won’t be able to race anymore as a lot of people can do the keyboard entry while the race is on but the more important stuff has to be done before and after the race.
Currently myself and/or Bren are the only people familiar with it but if we are away when club races are on we need other people to be capable of using it.
Let me know if you are interested. Cheers, Brad

World Cup was very cool [8D]

Highlight was the Men XC and Short Track. Those guys are so fast!! I tipped Jose Hermida before the weekend and he did not let me down with a 2nd in the XC and a 1st in the Short Track. Got José Antonio Hermida Ramos signature and also Adam Craig. They were very funny to talk to. Good to see so many club members there canot wait for the world championships!!! It will be really really cool [8D]

An awesome ride from the Schilgi I reckon - especially considering the 2nd place rider (Erin Francis) I think is sponsored by Thylacine.

Interested to hear his thoughts on the course - it certainly looked brutal last weekend, and some of the pre-ride reports I've heard are that it is "extremely hard and technical"
