Thanks for that. Considering I took over 700 photos ( I love the sound my camera makes !!!!)But maybe he should learn to ride like he stole it. Check out our other bike (P3) with rider 120 (Our 14 yo nephew) who finished ...9th and 116 came in 20th!! Obiviously there is nothing wrong with the old P3!!! Also be wary if you're a spectator.. dont put your arms up to catch rider 116... unless you want to roll down a gully with him!!!!!LOL - missed that shot!!![:D]

Hi all. Some of you might know that we have been travelling to Ballarat to race KOB Downhill over 3 rounds and I have posted some photos of Round 2 last weekend. I decided not to ride (more practices) so played with my other new toy whilst Adam put scratches on MY bike!!!
so if you're interested heres the link.

Hey Dan

Thought maybe the oringinal dates were a plan, you know sort the men from the boys in the club champs. Suppose I'm lucky the whole family is involved although....my boys would probably whip me in both and the missus would most likely pinch the DH bike ....

Hey Damo

Yeah we discussed this clash.... Its hard to fit in with everyone hey... You might just have to toughen up a bit [:x] Hahaha.. just kidding...

I think we will keep the date change as it should suit everyone else. Just means you are going to have to lift your performance in the Super D and DH. XC champs is 2 out of 3 so you should be right there.

Cheers

Hey Dan,

With only 6 days between the 24 Solo Worlds and the XC on October 16th, I reckon there will be a clash between my head and my legs. [xx(] But don't let that stop you making the change!

Apologies to all those people I have not stopped to say G'Day to up the hill. Time waits for no man (or woman) and I need to make the most of what time I have between now and the big day.[:)]

See you out there!

Has a decision been made on combining elite and expert for the Rambo series ? At this stage no one in elite has done more then 1 race.
I raced expert at Beechworth but came 3rd overall so I thought I would change to elite for Round 2. (Round 1 was a point to point course so easy to transfer my time)
But at both the Mount Beauty and Bright rounds the elite race was scrapped due to low numbers even though I tried to nominate for it both times.( So did Ian Franzke but he probably doesn't care but I do!)
So I paid online early for expert at Wagga and was suprised on the day to see that elite was back on which is why I spoke up at presentation.
I think it is a messy situation that needs sorting BEFORE the final round in Albury.
You may commence bagging me.....now

Hey Mystery Person and other club members

Had a chat to Mr Sully tonight and we thought we might move the XC race from the 23rd to the 16th of Oct. Any objections?... Does not seem to be any clashes?? Maybe we did not think about it hard enough before. []

Just something to think about!!!

I was just looking at the calendar of events and it seems that the XC club race on the 23 Oct (Club champs rnd 2)is the day before the downhill race, 24 Oct (Club champs rnd 3).
I know not every body would want to go in both these events but there are some crazy like minded people like myself who want to.

Question
Is there any chance of moving the XC rnd of the club champs to the XC race on the 20 Nov??? Therefore the downhill would be rnd 2 and the last XC would be rnd 3.
I know it is hard to keep everybody happy, but this could work well as the 20 Nov is an already scheduled race.

If kept the original way, it would be an extremely busy weekend of MTBiking but it would also be exhausting. Not to mention having to negotiate with our partners who have to look after the kids for the whole weekend on their lonesome.

Not an easy job with my two.

Re: Anthem X 29er

"First seen at Sea Otter when Carl Decker used the matte black prototype to win the first race he ever rode it in, it’s no surprise that the Anthem X 29er is now official.

Introduced at the Downieville Classic, the Anthem X 29er’s frame will work with both 2×10 and 3×10 drivetrain options, and it’ll come with Giant’s 29er wheelsets (which, if they’re the same as the ones on the XTC 29er, should be pretty solid) and 100mm of travel front and rear. Claimed frame weight with shock is 5.28lbs (2,395g, including all paint and hardware). Other specs on the Allux aluminum frame are Giant’s Overdrive tapered headtube and a “Powercore” pressfit bottom bracket which we sincerely hope is just marketing speak for a stiff BB area and not some proprietary standard. Full details are limited at the moment, but we’ll update as soon as we have more.

Fox shock and fork and Maxxis tires round out the basic spec, and the frame is able to accommodate up to a 2.3 rear tire."

Get in line Paul!

No word on spec or price yet - but if you deploy your Google skills in a productive manner, you may or may not find photos that may or may not represent what may or may not be released in Australia.

I suspect you could be told certain details, but you may have to be killed after...

Does anybody, especially that good folk at Superstore, know when the 29er Anthem is coming and any of the spec detail or is it a national secret? The wait is killing me!!!!

@Wayna:

Course has been set, I'm hoping to have a map completed & circulated tomorrow. Course will be similar to the 3 Hour Twilight Enduro from last year and around 6km in length. We'll be going up Shelobs and down Intestine.
